Musselburgh
The nature reserve to the east of the mouth of the River Esk at Musselburgh is a rich and diverse wetland area, offering an important habitat for wildlife. Known as the Musselburgh Lagoons (or the scrapes locally) and surrounding Levenhall Links, the reserve is a haven for birdwatchers, with several well-placed bird hides offering excellent views of a variety of waterfowl and migratory birds.
