Fishing in Scotland
Fishing in Scotland is extremely popular and unlike in England, you do not need to purchase a rod licence, but you will normally have to pay the fishery owner a fee.
These days I fish a lot less than I used too, but I still manage a few outings every year, including a couple of annual trips to fish for sea trout and salmon.
Previously this was always to South Uist in the Outer Hebrides, but for the past few years we have fished Loch Hope, staying at the Alnaharra Hotel.
