Edinburgh

Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, is a city steeped in history and culture. With its stunning medieval and Georgian architecture, the city is home to iconic landmarks like Edinburgh Castle, perched atop an extinct volcano, and the Royal Mile, a bustling street lined with shops, cafes, and historic sites. The city is also known for its vibrant arts scene, especially during the annual Edinburgh Festival, and its picturesque setting amidst rolling hills and volcanic crags, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Holyrood Park during Lockdown

We weren’t allowed to travel far for exercise during the covid lockdowns, but luckily I had Holyrood Park in the center of Edinburgh only a short distance from my home. 
As a bonus, this was the year that some otters appeared on a regular basis in St Margaret’s loch in the park.
