Shetland Pony – These Ones Are from the Island of South Uist

Anyone who has visited the Isle of South Uist and driven along the shores of Loch Druidibeg, will have come across the Shetland pony herd.

They live along the shoreline of the loch, and appear as if by magic as soon as a car stops - looking for food!

They are incredibly friendly and will happily pose for a photograph in exchange for an apple - the remains of which can be seen running down the chin.

However, when you run out of food, they can be a bit pushy!  See the pictures below.
