The Luing Ferry
Luing is an island in the Firth of Lorn, about 16 miles south of Oban.
Even in Scotland, quite a lot of people will have never heard of it, but at 6 miles by 12 miles, it is a reasonable size.
The Luing ferry runs regularly from Cuan, and means you can explore the island by bike or car.
A visit to the island is like stepping back in time, peaceful, unspoiled with plenty of wildlife to see such as otters, dolphins, porpoises and much more.
Ideal for a day trip if you are in the Oban area.
