Scottish Birds
Photographs of Scottish birds taken on my travels. Sometimes I set out to get images of a particular bird, but more often it's just a case of taking the camera along on a walk, and seeing what turns up.
Kingfishers
Walk along any river bank in Scotland and you stand a good chance of seeing a Kingfisher. Unfortunately, more often than not, all you see is a flash of blue as the kingfisher flies along the river.
The trick is to try and find the favourite perch where the Kingfisher does his fishing from – and then be patient and wait for it to turn up!
Even then, remember that these are very small birds, and a pair of binoculars will help a lot.
