Spectacular Glencoe
Driving through spectacular Glencoe has to be one of the most impressive drives in Scotland, especially if you come from the south and having driven across the bleak Rannoch Moor, you are suddenly confronted with the awe inspiring scenery of Glencoe.
Nowadays, it is best known for its scenery and as a destination for walking and hill climbing, but historically, Glencoe is known for the "Glencoe Massacre" when 38 government troops billeted with members of the MacDonald clan killed many of their hosts in February 1692.
