Edinburgh Christmas Market

Christmas and New Year celebrations in Edinburgh are now massive, and attract a huge number of tourists to the city.

The Edinburgh Christmas market forms a big part of these celebrations, and it seems to get bigger every year.

The market opens mid November, and is mainly located on the many levels of East Princes Street Gardens.

As well as the usual stalls selling Christmas products from many different countries, there are lots of rides for kiddies and adults alike.

There is no shortage of hot food stalls and the tempting smells as you wander around will probably make you give in eventually!

Lots of wonderful coffee and mulled wine aromas too - or why not take the edge of the chill with a hot toddy.

You can also head up to George Street and St Andrew's Square where you will find even more stalls and a spectacular display of lights.
