Calton Hill Edinburgh
A misty shot of Calton Hill Edinburgh, taken from Arthur's Seat.
Past the East end of Edinburgh's Princes Street, you'll find Calton Hill. It is home to, among other things, The City Observatory, Nelson's Monument and The Calton Hill Folly.
It affords fine views over the town and towards the Forth, without having to climb too high.
In the summer time, it is quite common for a mist, known as The East Coast Haar to roll in from the river Forth. This picture was taken from the slopes of Arthur's Seat, on just one such evening when the mist rolled in.
